What’s Happening Now!

Attention moms! This is the last reminder for anyone who is thinking about coming with us to the Go Deep Conference tomorrow. We’re meeting up at the church at 8:30 a.m. to drive to Hill Country Bible Church in Austin. This 2-hour “conference” will be led by Debra McCoy, mother of UT quarterbacks Colt McCoy & Case McCoy. She will be speaking about praying powerful prayers for our children. Music by The Reliques. Cost is $10, and we’ll probably also get some lunch together afterward. Please consider coming with us if you don’t have other obligations tomorrow!

Beginning on Wednesday September 3rd at 6:30, we are going to spend 10 weeks trying to explore the answers to difficult questions and objections people have to the Christian faith.

Isn’t the Bible a myth?
Does science disprove Christianity?
How can you say there is only one way to God?
What gives you the right to tell me how to live?
Why does God allow suffering and tragedy?
Why is the church responsible for much injustice?
Why are Christians so hypocritical?
How can God send good people to Hell?

To tackle these questions, we will be looking at two studies: Apologetics with Matt Chandler (http://vimeo.com/70789933) and The Reason for God..

From Julie: Attention Thorndale area moms! The Go Deep Conference is coming to our area on Friday, September 12 from 10:00 a.m – 12 p.m. The speaker is Debra McCoy, mom of UT quarterbacks Colt McCoy and Case McCoy. She will be speaking about praying for our children. Music is by The Reliques. This conference is sponsored by Moms in Prayer, an interdenominational, Christ-centered prayer ministry whose mission is to impact children and schools worldwide by gathering mothers to pray. Their vision is that every school in the world would be covered by prayer. Robin Crabtree brought this to my attention and we would love to go and take several moms..
